Speaking from the mind often involves projection, interpretation, evaluation or judgment of one’s own or others’ behaviour turning the attention outwards. In contrast, when speaking from the heart we acknowledge and express what we’re feeling and needing. Only then can we claim back our power and take full responsibility for having those needs met.
